IM NOT BRAINWASHED!! (TV “Programs”)

Really..? If you were, then how would you know…?

Almost everyone has an opinion. Most people believe that their thoughts and opinions on circumstances and situations are theirs alone, thought up by themselves through conscious decision making on their part. The truth here is that with so many people, this simply isn’t the case.

And the reason is because we are fed information daily designed specifically to control the way we feel, and to influence the way we think. When we are given a scenario of any sort, and asked “what do you think about that”, most times we will access our memory banks and think about the things we have heard about it, and been told about it, and then verbalise that as our opinion.

Lets take “immigration” for example.. What do you think about that? Is it good… or bad?  How about Gay people? Arranged marriages…? 9/11…? UFO’s…?? What do you think about these things..?! When asked these sort of questions, what memory is used to formulate your answers..? Are they family opinions…? Was it the news report? The television show you saw? The newspaper article you read? What is the source of your reasoning.  Is it what your friends always say or do? Is it because “thats what everybody thinks or knows” that you to assume your thoughts as your own and correct..? Worth thinking about.

Through this article, i aim to explain how our thoughts and feelings are being manipulated,  and why it is being done.

In a nut shell, it is all about CONTROL. Control of the human population on a world wide scale for the benefit of a select few. “The few” are the people i have mentioned in previous posts, most notably, “The World We Live In PT I and PT II“.

TELEVISION

Have you ever noticed the glazed expression on the face of  a person who has been watching TV for any length of time? Have you ever seen the face of someone who looks like they are in a trance..? You know where this is going. When we watch TV or a movie for any length of time, we enter into a state of “suspended disbelief”. Suspended disbelief is state of mind where the person allows the unbelievable to be true. We disable our logical thinking mind, and allow the suggestions coming through the screen to rest true.

One contemporary example of suspension of disbelief is the audience’s acceptance that Superman hides his identity from the public by simply wearing a pair of glasses..! Another major example of suspended disbelief was The Flintstones cartoon series. The characters have televisions, cars, telephones, and various appliances that would be powered by electricity in modern society, but since the show was set in “prehistoric” times – electricity could not have been mastered, and especially not used. But these are not really important in what im getting at here. What is important is the fact that we have all ACCEPTED these things so freely without resistance. Ask yourself: In this state of non resistance to suggestion, what kind of things could possibly be sneaking into to my mind..?

Away from Superman and the Flintstones, we have more importantly… the News.

The most basic form of mind control is repetition. Repetition is a very powerful thing. This much is obvious when we think about Muhammad Ali..! An who was he?? THE GREATEST! We ALL know the answer because he repeated it almost like a Mantra as often as he could and to whoever was listening. When we repeat things to ourselves over and over, we being to make it true. The same can be said when things are repeated to US over and over.  Repetition is an integral part of brainwashing techniques because connections between neurons in the brain become stronger when exposed to incoming signals of frequency and intensity.

In Conclusion

Using fear and the threat of insecurity to manipulate the people, corporate media, in bed with government, unleashes a barrage of propaganda, in images and pro-war commentators, to arouse in the population the false sense of security that justifies military action. This way, debate is silenced and dissent is disappeared on the airwaves as once again the corporate media, allow us only to see and hear the point of view they want us to incorporate into our psyche. Voices of reason and of intelligence are ignored, banished from imparting important thoughts of wisdom, thus making it virtually impossible for the population to ever know there are other options besides the horror of war.

With corporate anchors, journalists, reporters, commentators and executives pillaging us with their propaganda-laced images and opinion, over months of constant repeated threats of fear and insecurity, denying the public from ever seeing or hearing truths and realities, it therefore becomes rather easy, with a population addicted to television viewing, to control our thoughts and manipulate our actions.

Once again the system is at work, knowing how easy it is to control the minds of a dumbed down population that has been well trained, and some might say socially engineered, to never question authority, never think outside the box, never seek accountability and never think for itself. Easily manipulated, millions of people are conditioned to believe, from a very early age, that anything emanating from television is regarded as too important or valuable to be interfered with. Thus, everything they watch is reality and anything they hear is truth.

It is designed to manipulate and control, transforming the population into a sedentary herd of sheeple who never question what is told them.

The ending message here is the same as with all my posts, but even more relevant, and that is to “make up your own mind” about it. And for the skeptics, i hope that this raises enough questions for you to want to research and find out for yourselves.

Peace…

Hello, I’m writing an article for my high school journalism class on the effects of television and would like to use the photo of the television set with the words “open your eyes” on the screen. I would greatly appreciate it if you gave me permission to use this photo (if it belongs to you) or if you directed me to where you obtained the photo from. Thank you for your speedy reply to my email.
